Ford’s fastest Focus debuts as first global performance car

ORDER books have opened for the new Ford Focus ST, which is the fastest Focus to date and becomes the manufacturer’s first global performance car as it will go on sale in 40 countries around the world.

 

Equipped with 250 PS 2.0 litre EcoBoost engine, the newFocus STwill accelerate from 62 mph in 6.5 seconds and has a top speed of 154 mph. Expected fuel efficiency is 39 mpg with emissions of 169 g/km – a 20% improvement over previousEuropean Focus STmodel.

 

Customer deliveries will start in September with three trim levels available: ST1 (£21,995), ST2 (£23,495) and ST3 (£25,495).

 

The newFocus STwill be available in five-door hatchback, or estate model. The car

features a specially-designed steering wheel, gearshift and pedals. Standard equipment includes 18-inch alloy wheels, manual air conditioning, Keyless start,DABradio and Bluetooth.
