Glass’s June’s Used Van Hero

The Peugeot Partner has been named as Glass’s Used Commercial Hero for June.

Each month, Glass’s Commercial Vehicle editors hold a meeting to name the current Used Van Hero in the UK market – the model they believe offers versatility, durability and outstanding value for money.

Andy Picton, Chief Commercial Vehicle Editor: “The ever popular Peugeot Partner has a proven track record when it comes to offering economy and all-round value for money driving.”

WHY?

The latest incarnation offers a good level of safety specification as well as latest technology Euro 6 engines. Available in two lengths, the Partner is available in petrol, diesel, electric and CNG (not UK) formats.

WHEN WAS IT ON SALE?

The Partner was launched in the UK in 1996 and is now on its 2nd official generation, although a variety of refreshes have taken place during its lifetime. The third generation Partner is due to be launched in Q4 2018.

WHAT’S GOOD?

Good car-like experience offering a comfortable drive with frugal engines, yet still offers a minimum payload of 625kg and a loadspace that can accommodate a Euro pallet with ease.

WHAT’S BAD?

As ever check for a service history and if there are any outstanding recalls. The base variant isn’t the best equipped and comes without a sliding door, whilst the SE and Professional come with an additional seat that is only fit for the smallest of people.
